Saudi Arabia Confirms Heat Exhaustion Cases Among Hajj Pilgrims, Urges Caution Amid Rising Temperatures

Riyadh, May 30, 2025 – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health has confirmed five cases of heat exhaustion among Hajj pilgrims due to high summer temperatures at the holy sites. All affected individuals received immediate medical care and are in stable condition, the ministry stated.
Health teams remain on high alert, and the ministry has launched multilingual awareness campaigns urging pilgrims to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and use shaded walkways.
Minister of Health Fahad al-Jalajel also confirmed no epidemic threats or outbreak risks as the Hajj season begins, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to pilgrim safety and health.
