Cairo – May 30, 2025: Kuwaiti authorities have arrested a man in his fifties accused of defrauding multiple citizens by pretending to have influential connections within government institutions.
According to Al Anba newspaper, the suspect was apprehended at a resthouse in the Kabd area, near Kuwait’s Capital Governorate, after altering his appearance with a beard and glasses to avoid detection.
Victims reported that the man had convinced them he could expedite complex transactions due to his alleged ties, even escorting them to government offices and greeting employees as if he were familiar with them.
Kuwaiti police launched an investigation following several complaints, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Legal action is now underway.
