May 30, 2025 – Islamabad/Doha: Qatar has launched a recruitment drive targeting experienced Pakistani teachers, highlighting the growing educational collaboration between the two nations.
Facilitated by Pakistan’s Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC)—under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development—the initiative aims to fill multiple teaching vacancies at a reputed Qatari school. The move opens significant international employment opportunities for Pakistani educators, especially those with experience in the British curriculum.
“This opportunity reflects a broader trend of international demand for Pakistani educators,” said a ministry official, emphasizing Qatar’s efforts to raise educational standards by leveraging Pakistan’s skilled teaching workforce.
The announcement marks a new chapter for Pakistan’s professionals in the Gulf, where nurses and doctors are already highly sought after, and could serve as a gateway into global education systems.
It’s important to note that these roles are not intended for family relocation, as accommodation for families is not provided.
How to apply
Applicants can submit their applications online at the official OEC portal: https://oec.gov.pk. A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500 must be deposited through a bank challan.
