Arshad Nadeem Claims Gold at Asian Athletics Championships With 86.40m Throw<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pakistan’s javelin sensation Arshad Nadeem<\/strong> has once again etched his name in history, winning the gold medal<\/strong> at the Asian Athletics Championships<\/strong> with a final throw of 86.40 metres<\/strong>. His winning throw came in the last round, showcasing his remarkable ability to perform under pressure.<\/p>\n

Nadeem, who made headlines with a historic 92.97m Olympic record<\/strong> at Paris 2024, came just short of the Asian Championship record of 86.72m, but comfortably secured the top podium finish.<\/p>\n

    Nadeem opened the competition with a steady 75.64m<\/strong>, then improved with 76.60m<\/strong> in the second attempt. It was in the third round where he stunned the crowd with a throw of 85.57m<\/strong>, taking the lead. His fourth and fifth throws of 83.99m<\/strong> and 84.50m<\/strong> showed consistency, before he delivered the winning 86.40m throw in the final round.<\/p>\n

    Fellow Pakistani Yasir Sultan<\/strong> showed promise, throwing 75.39m<\/strong> in his second attempt but could not break into the top three. His best mark of the day was 75.50m.<\/p>\n

    Celebrations Across Pakistan<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    President Asif Ali Zardari<\/strong> and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif<\/strong> congratulated Arshad on his achievement. In his hometown Mian Channu<\/strong>, celebrations erupted with sweets distributed and traditional drums beating, as locals danced to “Dil Dil Pakistan”<\/strong> echoing in the streets.<\/p>\n

    On the field, an emotional Arshad offered sajda (prostration)<\/strong> in gratitude to Allah after his win.<\/p>\n
