Water pumping is expected to average 750,000 cubic metres per day throughout Hajj, surging past one million cubic metres on peak days such as Arafat Day and Eid al-Adha. This initiative guarantees high operational efficiency and environmental safety, especially in Mecca, Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and the Grand Mosque.<\/p>\n
In preparation for the influx of pilgrims, the Kingdom completed 18 major water infrastructure projects in Mecca and the surrounding holy sites. These projects include:<\/p>\n\n
With a daily desalinated water transport capacity of over 1.2 million cubic metres, the Kingdom\u2019s water infrastructure includes a transport network exceeding 1,300 kilometers. Pumping station efficiency now exceeds 125 percent.<\/p>\n
To accommodate the needs of the pilgrims, more than 32,000 public restrooms across Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah have been inspected and prepared.<\/p>\n
The Saudi Water Authority has conducted comprehensive inspections and technical checks to ensure all systems\u2014from water production and transport to storage, distribution, and treatment\u2014are fully aligned with national standards.<\/p>\n
