\nThe Human Rights Council of Pakistan organized a significant and impactful conference at the National Library of Pakistan, Islamabad, to observe Kashmir Exploitation Day. The conference was titled “Kashmir Exploitation Day – Constitutional Attack, Human Rights Violations, and the Silence of the Global Conscience.”<\/p>\n
The conference aimed to highlight the Indian government’s actions on August 5, 2019, when it abolished Articles 370 and 35A, stripping Occupied Jammu and Kashmir of its special constitutional status, and the subsequent severe human and political crisis faced by the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n
Renowned freedom leader Sheikh Abdul Mateen was a special guest, shedding light on the sacrifices, courage, and struggle of the Kashmiri people. Muhammad Tauqeer Khan (Representative of Geo News Kotli, former President of Khoi Ratta Press Club, and Central Secretary General of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Electronic Media) delivered a thought-provoking speech as a guest speaker, discussing the responsibilities of the media.<\/p>\n

The event featured a heart-wrenching poem by renowned poet Kashif Kamal, which emotionally resonated with the audience. Hammad Abbasi, Executive Member of the Human Rights Council and Supreme Court Advocate, elaborated on the Kashmir issue in constitutional and international contexts.<\/p>\n
The conference was skillfully moderated by Nisar Ahmad. Speakers emphasized that Kashmir Exploitation Day is not just a day but a continuous process of conveying the Kashmiri people’s voice to the world.
