MECCA – The Presidency for Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced that this year’s Arafat Sermon will be translated and broadcast in 35 languages, aiming to reach more than five million Muslims across the globe.
This unprecedented initiative marks the largest enrichment project in the Presidency’s history and seeks to deepen the spiritual connection of Hajj pilgrims while spreading the core message of moderation and balance in Islam.

REAL-TIME TRANSLATION AND GLOBAL DIGITAL BROADCAST
The multilingual broadcast will include:

  • Live translations in 35 languages

  • Digital streaming via official platforms

  • Widespread sharing across social media networks

The project was officially launched by Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al Sudais, President of Religious Affairs at the Two Holy Mosques, during a special meeting at the Grand Mosque. He emphasized the initiative’s role in promoting tolerance, coexistence, and global harmony.
“This initiative is central to the Presidency’s mission of enriching the spiritual journey of the Guests of Allah and sharing the moderate message of Islam with the world,” said Sheikh Al Sudais.

IMAM SHEIKH DR. SALEH BIN HUMAID TO DELIVER THIS YEAR’S SERMON
This year’s Arafat Sermon will be delivered by Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Humaid, Imam and Preacher of the Grand Mosque, as part of the official Hajj 1446 program.
The sermon, delivered from Mount Arafat on the second day of Hajj, is one of the most significant annual Islamic addresses, traditionally emphasizing themes such as mercy, justice, equality, and devotion.

TECH-ENABLED SPIRITUAL OUTREACH
Saudi Arabia has significantly expanded its use of digital technologies and smart platforms to enhance religious services during Hajj. This year’s translation initiative continues that trend, aiming to ensure non-Arabic-speaking Muslims have meaningful access to the sermon’s message.
The project underscores the Kingdom’s broader commitment to fostering inclusive spiritual experiences and supporting global efforts to promote a peaceful and unified understanding of Islam.
